Which phone should I get for both photography and video?

If you want to take good photos and videos with a phone within a decent budget, I would suggest you consider the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra or S25 Ultra.

The camera quality of both phones is almost identical. You won’t notice much difference with the naked eye.
 

Here are the features I liked:

• 200MP main camera, meaning even if you crop a lot, the photo quality will still remain good

• Presence of two separate cameras for 3x and 5x zoom (67mm and 111mm)

• Good stabilization on the ultra-wide camera (in daylight)

• Recording at 4K 120fps (gives good quality in daylight)

• Option to record 10-bit HDR videos (available in S25 Ultra)

• Option to shoot videos in LOG (output is decent)

• Option to take photos in RAW format

• Cinematic mode has improved

• Excellent AI image editor
   

Things that could’ve been better:

• The 5x camera could’ve had higher resolution

• The 3x camera is only 10MP, which is almost unusable in low light

• At 10x digital zoom, some artificial sharpening is noticeable

• In low-light video, aside from the main camera, the rest produce a lot of noise

• Stabilization in low light is just average

• In general, there’s a noticeable sharpness in videos (personally I don’t like this)

I have used both devices for quite some time, and as all-rounders, they seemed very good. Recommended from my side.
