Life is strange. You set out to become an engineer only to discover that filmmaking is what truly moves you.

Hi, I’m Jubaer Talukder. I graduated from BUET with a degree in Naval Architecture, and today I work full time making videos! 

 

I guess you are finding it a bit difficult to match up how I ended up being a filmmaker who had an educational background in engineering. At first glance, engineering and filmmaking might seem worlds apart. But my journey tells a different story.

Back in 2015, as a freshman fascinated by campus life and its vibrant events, I picked up a camera and started documenting moments that caught my eyes. What began as casual curiosity soon turned into a deep passion. Over time, I explored the art and craft of filmmaking and eventually decided to build a career around it. 

Along the way, I learned that creativity thrives when structure meets imagination. Engineering taught me discipline, critical thinking, and how to perform under pressure. Filmmaking taught me storytelling, creative problem-solving, and the joy of building something meaningful.

Today, I combine both worlds, technical precision and creative vision to tell stories through film.

I believe everyone is capable of great things; the difference lies in embracing the learning curve. My journey has only just begun, and I’m excited for the challenges and stories that lie ahead.
